What you’ll need on the day

ID & eligibility

Valid photo ID and any prerequisite cards/records required by your CPCS/NPORS or NVQ route.

PPE

Safety boots, hi-vis, hard hat, gloves, and eye/ear protection as appropriate for the activity.

Experience & evidence (NVQ)

Site diary/job sheets, photos/videos (where permitted), toolbox talks, method statements, and supervisor statements to support your portfolio.

Machine/category details

Confirm the plant category (e.g., excavator, dumper, roller) and any attachments you’ll be assessed on.

Language & support needs

Tell us in advance if you need reasonable adjustments or additional support so we can plan appropriately.
